Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters deeply to us. Here is exactly how we collect, use, and protect your information on The Soma Code Method platform.
This Privacy Policy describes how Amber Raine Moses / The Soma Code Method ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit our website at somacode.io or use the Soma Code Method online program (collectively, the "Platform").
By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform.
The Soma Code Method involves personal self-reflection, body-based exploration, and somatic check-ins. We take your privacy — especially any sensitive wellness or personal reflection data you choose to share — very seriously. We do not sell your personal data.

- To process your payment and manage your enrollment
- To allow the program facilitator to monitor engagement and offer appropriate support

3 How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Soma Code Method program. We do not use your personal information for advertising or sell it to any third party.
Your journal entries and personal reflection data are used only to support your own program experience and, where relevant, to allow the facilitator to offer appropriate guidance. This data is never used for marketing, shared publicly, or disclosed to parties outside the Soma Code team without your explicit consent.
A note on sensitive data. Journal entries, symptom check-ins, somatic reflections, and daily practice completions may contain sensitive personal information about your physical and emotional wellbeing. We treat this data with the highest level of care. It is stored securely, accessible only to you and, in limited circumstances, to the program facilitator for the purpose of supporting your experience.
4 Who Can Access Your Personal Reflections
Within the Soma Code team, access to student data is strictly limited:
- You have full access to your own account, progress, journal entries, and submissions at all times.
- The program facilitator (Amber Raine Moses) may view student engagement data — such as check-in activity, program progress, and, where relevant, journal entries — for the sole purpose of offering support and fulfilling the educational mission of the program.
- No other parties within or outside the Soma Code team have access to your personal reflection data, except as required by law or as described in Section 5 (Service Providers).
We do not share student journal content, voice notes, or personal reflections with other students, the public, or any external party.
5 Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Platform. These providers act on our behalf and may process personal information only as strictly necessary to deliver services to Soma Code. They are subject to confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
The categories of service providers we rely on include:
- Secure cloud hosting and database infrastructure — Account, progress, journal, and app activity data is stored using secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure.
- Authentication providers — We use secure, passwordless authentication (email-based magic link / one-time code) to verify your identity. No passwords are stored.
- Video hosting and streaming providers — Video content is hosted and streamed through secure third-party video infrastructure. Your access to video content is gated by your authenticated account.
- Payment processors — Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. Soma Code does not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment credentials.
- Email delivery providers — We use email delivery services to send account and program communications such as login links, weekly content notifications, and facilitator messages.
- Website performance and analytics tools — We may use tools to understand how visitors use the website and Platform, in aggregate and anonymized form, to improve the experience.
We review service providers for their security and privacy practices and work only with providers whose standards are consistent with our own commitment to protecting your information.
6 Payments
Payments are processed by a secure, third-party payment processor. When you complete a purchase, your payment details are handled directly by that processor — Soma Code does not receive, store, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or banking credentials. Please refer to your payment processor's privacy policy (presented at checkout) for information on how your payment data is handled.
7 Cookies & Local Storage
The Platform uses cookies and local browser storage to:
- Maintain your login session and authentication state
- Remember your program progress, such as daily check-ins and completed modules
- Store preferences such as your current program week or selected view
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral tracking for marketing purposes. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but this may prevent certain features of the Platform from functioning correctly.
8 Data Security
We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure authentication flows, and access controls that limit who within our team can view student data.
While we take these precautions seriously, no system is completely immune to risk. You use the Platform with the understanding that no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
9 Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide program services. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by applicable law to retain certain records.
Journal entries, reflections, and practice data are retained for the duration of your enrollment and for up to 12 months afterward to support your ongoing access, unless you request earlier deletion.
10 How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: As described in Section 5, with vendors who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law, court order, or lawful governmental authority.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer to a successor entity under the same privacy protections described here.

12 Not Medical Care or Therapy
The Soma Code Method is a somatic education and personal development program. It is not a medical service, mental health treatment, therapy, diagnosis, or crisis support service. The information we collect is used to deliver an educational program — not to provide clinical care. Nothing in how we handle your data should be interpreted as a clinical or therapeutic relationship. Individual experiences with the program vary.
Please see our full Disclaimer for more information.
13 Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information through the Platform, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove that data promptly.
14 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and notify active students by email. Your continued use of the Platform following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
